내방에 큰 창문이 하나 있어요.

1. I have a big window in my room.

2. My room has a big window.

(there is a big window in my room. 문법은 맞지만 자연스럽지 못한 문장)

 

there is ☞ 예외는 있지만, 보통 소유자가 없는 곳에 사용! 

 

이근처에는 횡단보도가 없어요.

There is no crosswalk nearby.

There are no crosswalk near here.

 

부모님 집에는 TV가 두 대 있어요.

There are 2 televisions at my parents's place.

There have 2 televisions (at their place)

(My parents have 2 televisions(at their place)

 

※앞 예문 창문과 TV 문장구성이 다른이유는 TV는 그집에 원래있었던 것이 아닌 추가로 가지고 들어가는 가전제품이기 때문에 house has 안된다. TV는 소유하고있는 사람에 대해서만 이야기해야한다. 그 의미가 가게까지 확장돼 가게를 의인화해서 문장을 만든다.

ex) 그 가게는 테이블이 아주 많아. They have a lot of tables.

 

 

 

많다/적다 이야기할때 상황에 따라 have 로 이야기하는게 더 자연스럽다.

Does it have~?

 

이 근처에 백화점이 있나요? (백화점은 공공 장소라서 누구에게나 해당사항이므로 Is there)

Is there a depertment store nearby(near here)?

거기 근처에 주유소가 있어요?

Is there a gas station near there(nearby)?

 

거기에 해물요리도 있어?

Do they have(any) seafood?

*any 어떤 요리라도 상관없이 해산물요리가 있냐고 강조할때 사용
